Derek Morgan:
My name is Derek Morgan. I’m an ERP business analyst for the Maryland National Capital Park and Planning Commission. One of the main goals of the CIO office is to move us into the 21st century. My role in this project is to be a lead analyst in gathering requirements, as well as project management aspect of upgrading from M4 version nine to version 10.
Reggie Dixon:
My name is Reggie Dixon and I’m the senior project manager here at the Maryland National Capital Park and Planning Commission. My role is to have basic oversight of the project costs, schedule, resources, goals, and objectives being met and properly measured. Working with RPI has been great from the very start. Many people within the commission were already sort of familiar with RPI even before winning the RFP before they were selected to be the implementer. And that was because of the work that RPI has done with webinars and videos that had been posted on YouTube. Many RPI employees are somewhat like rock stars.
Derek Morgan:
One of my favorite parts is just meeting with the RPI team in general.
Reggie Dixon:
RPI came in and we established not just a client customer sort of relationship, but it was a partnership. And I say it was a partnership because the first thing that RPI did was to really understand what our issues were internally. Ann Bogey is the senior project manager from RPI and her presence here has been a very calming one.
Derek Morgan:
Working with Ann Bogey is rather fun. She keeps us grounded, but she also has time to make sure that we are thoroughly engaged.
Reggie Dixon:
I love Ann. Ann is funny. We got a new name for her, though. We call her the Anntrack.
Derek Morgan:
The train is moving and you need to get on board.
Reggie Dixon:
If you’re dragging a schedule, man, she’ll run you over like a train. So we call it the Anntrack.
Derek Morgan:
And the Anntrack is coming.
Reggie Dixon:
Change management is something that the commission has wanted to implement and pursue for a long time, but it was a blind spot for us. Kate Storm came on board and she was offered to us by RPI as a resource that can help to bring that about. That was one of the best things that has happened in this project.
Derek Morgan:
Working with the RPI team, the team is very professional, knowledgeable in all areas of the ERP system. So working with Jackie Dudas on the ATM side of the house and, or Dan Freegio within the SCM team and Chris Gordon on the EFM team, they are very knowledgeable in what they do. They represent RPI in the greatest fashion. Truly a world-class organization.
