Baltimore, MD (November 7th, 2013) — RPI Consultants, a Baltimore-based professional services firm known for business process and Lawson software expertise, recently announced the acquisition of the Lawson & Kronos Consulting Practice of Aster Group, a business technology consulting firm headquartered in Concord, N.C.
“RPI is adding highly experienced Lawson consultants that share our understanding of the value and importance of building long-term relationships with customers,” said Keith Wayland, Partner at RPI. Aster Group brings certified consultants in Lawson software, many with over 20 years of business experience. By focusing on project management, application implementation, and interface/conversion development, Aster has earned an excellent reputation in Healthcare and the Public Sector, as well as other industry segments.
With this acquisition, RPI reinforces its commitment to being an industry leader in the Lawson S3, Lawson Human Capital Management (HCM), and Lawson Talent Management (LTM) markets. The new team members add breadth and depth to many of RPI’s core competencies, including Project Accounting (AC), Billing & Revenue Recognition (BR), Grants Management (GM), Absence Management (LP), and LTM.
Additionally, the Aster acquisition expands RPI’s consulting services, offering to include Kronos Time & Attendance. “RPI is excited to leverage the Kronos expertise that Aster’s consultants have developed over the years. Our customers recognize Kronos as a best of breed T&A solution, so the acquisition is a natural fit that builds on our strength in integrating various solutions with Lawson,” said Greg Pollard, RPI Partner.
“RPI allows us to deliver a more complete Lawson service offering to our customer base” says Jeff Brewster, Manager of Aster Group’s Lawson and Kronos Practice. “The RPI team brings more Lawson technical expertise and has a long standing reputation in the procure-to-pay space. Their background with IPA, Lawson Security, and Landmark, as well as their experience installing and integrating with Lawson version 10 positions us to better help our customers moving forward.”
Brewster looks forward to working more closely with Infor. “Our team is excited about RPI’s strong partnership with Infor, specifically their early adoption of new technologies and their commitment to develop solutions with Infor’s broader product offering, including XM, ION, EAM, and M3. This will allow us the opportunity to stay at the cutting edge of a developing market.”
“The acquisition of Aster’s Lawson Practice enables us to continue to focus on long-term client objectives and successfully manage complex projects,” states Justin Braun, RPI Partner. “We weren’t just looking for opportunities to expand, we were looking for consultants who share our team player attitude.”
RPI Consultants’ purchase of the Aster Group’s Lawson & Kronos Practice was effective October 31, 2013.
